Half the remote is a high resolution touchscreen to access and swipe through three main screens. The first screen lists all your services like cable, Sonos, and AppleTV. Plus, don’t miss the Favorites function, a screen for all your favorite channels, prioritized by the ones you watch the most. You can set up individual profiles on the Favorites page so everyone in the family basically has their own personal remote. Each profile will remember the person’s preferences for music, television, and even lighting. The third screen controls your Savant Scenes to set the perfect atmosphere. Once you’ve captured your scene you can recall it at anytime.
As if this remote couldn’t make home entertainment any more convenient, it also handles voice commands. Simply press the microphone button and say “Food Network” and the remote will automatically turn the TV on, switch the input, and go right to the specified channel. Plus, at the end of the night when you’re feeling tired and don’t want to worry about turning everything off, you can say “Goodnight” and the Savant remote will take care of it for you!
