Outdoor Television Review Part 2: SunBrite Outdoor TVs
In our last blog, we wrote about the new Samsung Terrace for outdoor television — today, let’s discuss SunBrite’s line of outdoor TVs
SunBrite has long been a leader in outdoor televisions. In November 2004, the company launched the first true outdoor television specifically designed and built for outdoor entertainment. Since then, they’ve continued to release high-quality TVs for exclusive outdoor use.
This summer, the team at Soundworks Inc wants to help you find the outdoor TV of your dreams. In a 3-part series, we’ll be exploring 2 excellent brands: Samsung and SunBrite. We’ll discuss the benefits of each to guide you to the right choice for your New York City, NY, outdoor space.
We’ve already reviewed the new Samsung Terrace (and we recommend reading that before moving on — see the link below). If you’re all caught up, let’s continue our series with a review of SunBrite TVs!

The SunBrite Collections
While we found the new Samsung Terrace to be a solid choice for outdoor television, the Terrace is Samsung’s first attempt at making an outdoor TV. SunBrite specializes in outdoor television design and build — their sets are rugged, weatherproof and meant to withstand outdoor elements year-round.
SunBrite’s durable TV sets are sealed up tight with a rustproof aluminum casing. The media bay with multiple ports on the back is protected by a thumbscrew-secured aluminum door. Padded, moisture-resistant materials protect the internal elements and media bay ports. The TVs are designed to withstand rain, snow, dust, salt, extreme temperatures and insects. The remote control that accompanies each set is also weatherproof and can be left outside full-time.
Unlike Samsung, SunBrite sells multiple outdoor television models, so you can find the one that’s made to perform optimally in your space. Their options include TVs designed for viewing in full shade, partial sunlight or full sunlight. The partial and full sunlight models have brightness levels 3-4 times higher than indoor TVs, anti-glare technology and a screen resistant to temperatures ranging from -24° to 122°F. The shaded model also offers brightness levels up to 50% higher than indoor televisions and a temperature-resistant screen.
SunBrite outdoor TVs deliver an excellent viewing experience. All models have 4K UHD resolution that displays sharp, detailed picture quality and looks good from a wide range of viewing angles. Only the full shade TV comes with built-in speakers, but all models have options to connect a soundbar or another sound system.
Smart Features
SunBrite outdoor televisions are not smart TVs. However, all models are equipped with a generous media bay that has a variety of port options for easy connectivity with cable, a Blu-ray player, media libraries and smart digital media players like Apple TV, Google Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV or Roku for streaming content.
Is a SunBrite TV Right for You?
Overall, SunBrite TVs are an excellent choice for high-quality outdoor viewing. SunBrite excels at what they do, and their outdoor televisions are reliable, durable and provide long-lasting outdoor entertainment. With so many models to choose from, you can enjoy all your favorite content in any outdoor space — on the patio, in a pergola or beside the pool.
